First, traffic
The flow rate of the sewage lift pump refers to the amount of water discharged per hour, and you can choose according to your own situation. If there may be only one kitchen or one bathroom in your home, then you only need to choose a normal flow rate of 5-10m³/h. Of course, if you need to add more than one bathroom, or need to discharge the wastewater from the washing machine, you can choose a larger flow rate. The lift of the sewage lift pump refers to the maximum height of the sewage lift. Is it better to have a higher lift? Of course not. However, it is necessary to ensure that the flow can still meet the use when the actual lift is 5-8m. Otherwise, many maximum lifts are only 5m, and the final flow is too small. Therefore, when choosing a sewage lift station, we must pay attention to the change curve of flow and lift;
Third, overcurrent diameter
This refers to the maximum diameter of debris that can be discharged from the pump's discharge pipe. If not connected to a toilet, a diameter of 10mm is generally sufficient. If connected to a toilet, a minimum filtration diameter of 50mm is required for a vortex-type sewage lift station. If the sewage lift pump is also connected to kitchen and bathroom pipes, a larger diameter is preferred.
The above are the three most important parameters of sewage lift. The next question is how do we judge the quality of sewage lift? This involves other parameters of sewage lift.
Fourth, security level
The protection level of small sewage lift pumps is IP44. Of course, the higher the protection level, the better. For example, the protection level is IP54 and the protection level is IP68 (Crtons). Fifth, the material of the box
The materials of the box body of the general sewage lift pump are PP/PE/ABS, while the material of the Crtons is PE. The corrosion resistance of ABS is the highest. The HDPE material is suitable for large-sized box body sewage lift pumps. Try not to choose stainless steel welded box bodies, because the stainless steel box body is only 2-3mm thick, and the weld will eventually crack during the vibration work of the pump, causing water leakage at any time. The later maintenance is very difficult. Generally, well-known brands will choose to open molds and cast plastic box bodies for one-time molding. They are more resistant to corrosion and have no hidden water leakage risks. Because of the need to open molds and other factors, it requires a large investment and certain skills. Therefore, currently only well-known factories with sufficient conditions can make plastic box bodies!
Sixth, heat dissipation
When the sewage lift pump is running, the speed is very high and the heat is also very high. The heat dissipation capacity becomes an important indicator to measure it. It depends on the material of the motor and the material of the motor housing. Generally, the pumps of enterprises that have the conditions to make external sewage lift pumps are more reliable, because most of them do not have dry operation, and can only put the pump in the water to cool down with water. Therefore, it is better to see the sewage lift pump outside the water tank. The pumps inside the water tank generally have low technical content and poor heat dissipation. Seventh, start control
In other words, under what circumstances should the sewage lift pump be started and how should it be controlled? Currently, there are mainly liquid level control and pneumatic control on the market. Small sewage lift pumps are preferably pneumatic, as pneumatic control of sewage lift pumps does not cause problems such as ball entanglement and failure to start, and is more accurate in control. Commercial sewage lift pumps are preferably liquid level controlled for the discharge of wastewater containing solid particles, such as fecal wastewater.

It is definitely better to buy a longer one, because replacement and maintenance are more troublesome. Many people initially purchase cheap sewage lift pumps from small factories in order to save costs, but in the end, the maintenance and replacement costs over the years have exceeded the cost of purchasing a safer and more stable sewage lift pump product at that time. Therefore, try to choose a well-known sewage lift pump manufacturer with more reliable performance, and don't blindly pursue price, otherwise you will end up losing more financial costs.
Ninth, the difficulty of maintenance
It is still possible for sewage lift pumps to malfunction, and it can be difficult for many brands to open for repair if they do malfunction. After a period of time, the inner walls of many brands' tanks are usually relatively dirty. It mainly depends on the installation location of the pump. Generally, water pumps are easiest to maintain outside the sewage lift pump tank, as there is no need to open the tank during maintenance. Of course, external sewage lift equipment is also much more expensive than internal ones, as external pumps have superior performance and higher manufacturing costs. At the same time, it depends on whether the equipment has a backwash function. If it does not have a backwash function, it is recommended to choose carefully, otherwise it will be very troublesome to clean later on your own!
